What are academic resources?
Academic resources include all resources from which
college students may benefit. At College of the Canyons, these
resources include the library; the Tutoring, Learning, and Computing
Lab; and the Zone. These resources help students conduct research,
write papers, and complete tests and assignments successfully.
Why are academic resources important?
Taking advantage of these academic resources at
College of the Canyons promotes success in the classroom.
Examples of academic resources
At College of the Canyons, the
research guides (by subject),
MLA and APA guidelines, an online class called
Library/Media Technology 100: Introduction to Research, assistance
from resource librarians, access to online data bases and computers, and
library orientations for entire classes. Passwords allowing students to
access online databases from off-campus are available from instructors
