Erica Bristol is an intellectual property attorney and commercial mediator, with a specialization in intellectual
property related disputes. She received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1999. She served as In-House
Intellectual Property Counsel to the California Association of REALTORS® and its technology subsidiaries for over 11
years, and she has been a commercial mediator since 2006. She serves as a panel mediator for the World
Intellectual Property Organization and the United States District Court, Central District of California mediating
intellectual property disputes, and a panel mediator the Santa Barbara and Ventura County Superior Courts. Erica is
Co-Chair of the State Bar of California, Litigation Section’s ADR Committee, and a former Executive Committee
Member of the State Bar of California’s Intellectual Property Law section. Erica is also a Business Advisor with the
SBDC Hosted by College of the Canyons.
Erica is the Principal of EB Resource Group, a service provider in Encino, California specializing in intellectual property risk management consulting,
corporate training for management and staff, and dispute resolution in various areas of law.
Erica has written numerous articles, such as “Mediation Privilege: Understand State, Federal Distinctions,” in Los Angeles Daily Journal; and “Trade
Secret Mediation: A Mediator’s Perspective,” in the International In House Counsel Journal.
Erica enjoys motorsports racing, muscle cars and motorcycle riding.
