Field Study Meal Packages
Meal Package for Fall
2011
Sample Menu
A meal package is available for weekend classes at the
Tahquitz station. To
take advantage of the meal package you will need to complete the order form
(available through your instructor or through the link at the top of this
page).
A typical breakfast might consist of scrambled eggs,
bacon, pancakes or French toast, potatoes, coffee, tea, and milk and juice.
Lunches are usually make-your-own-sandwiches, along with
chips, fruit, cookies, Gatorade and water.
For dinners you can expect soups, chili, lasagna, salad,
garlic bread, juice and water. Vegetarian items are available as well.
Students are encouraged to bring their snacks such as granola bars or
trail mix. All students should also bring refillable water bottles. Drinks are provided with meals
but refillable water bottles are a must for outside activities as well as
between meals! Students may elect to bring their own
food instead of taking advantage of the meal package. However, you
should be aware that storage is limited, so you will need to bring your own
ice chest, as well as a closed container to store your dry food. There
are no stoves available for student use, but there is one microwave that is
available to students. |
