Bruno Luigi Rota
Professor of Italian, Italy

Bruno Luigi Rota was born in north Italy, and grew up desiring to expand his natural boundaries through knowing other languages. He studied Foreign Languages at the University of Turin, Italy, while deepening his love and interest in the American culture, which culminated in his dissertation on American theater of the 2nd half of the twentieth century. Bruno’s knowledge and passion for the English language demonstrated in his highly engaging substitute teaching in Italy lead him to organize summer study groups abroad.

Mr. Rota entered a doctorate program in Italian in the United States, where he was also trained as an instructor of Italian, as a TA.  He left the full time position he had in Italy in 1994, when he became a permanent resident of Southern California. Bruno Luigi Rota has been teaching Italian since 1996 in private universities and in community colleges.
