Psychology Club/Psi Beta Honor Society

The Psychology Club at COC is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of psychology and highlighting career opportunities in psychology for both psychology majors and non-majors.  Opportunities exist for students to serve as officers in the club and all students who attend meetings participate in activity planning.  Past activities include field trips to the Museum of Tolerance and a sleep laboratory, and lectures by experts in differing fields of psychology.  To join the psychology club you must either be currently enrolled in or have completed at least one psychology class at COC.  For information regarding the Psychology Club, contact Deanna Riveira or Tammy Mahan.

Psi Beta is the national honor society in psychology for community and junior colleges.  Psi Beta is committed to the development of psychology students through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.  For complete information, visit the Psi Beta web site.  To be eligible for membership in Psi Beta you must have completed at least one psychology class, have an overall GPA of 3.25, and have at least a 3.0 GPA in your psychology classes.  For further information about joining Psi Beta contact Deanna Riveira or Tammy Mahan.
