Most Commonly Asked Questions Regarding the CLUES Program

1. Is this all really free? YES!

2. Is it really complete? As complete as we can make it anything short of having someone come to your classroom and teach it (which by the way is the focus of the new CLUES 6/ Amgen lab to be previewed in the fall).

3. How far in advance should I register to use the CLUES kits? The sooner the better. In Ventura County there are 4 complete CLUES kit and provided ample notice, we should be able to meet your needs. At the very minimum we request 2 week notice.

4. How do I register for the CLUES workshops? Contact us and well let you know

5. Well question 4 was kind of poorly answered, so how often do the workshops occur? About 4, 2 day workshops and 2-3 one day workshops are conducted per year. They are located primarily at CLU or at Ventura College. 2 day workshops introduce new folks to the CLUES program, and the 1 day workshops are designed to refresh previous workshop attendees on CLUES subtleties.

6. Can I attend the one day workshop as a first time CLUES attendee? Yes, if you feel you are comfortable with the subject matter ( as the pace of the workshop is very quick!).

7. When using the CLUES program, can I use any module I choose? Yes. Experience has shown that students reposed most positively to the sequence of the CLUES program as they become progressively more complex. IT IS NOT ADVISED JUMP RIGHT INTO CLUES 4 AND 5 SINCE THEY ARE COMPLEX AND THE LABS REQUIRE A FAIR AMOUNT OF TECHNIQUE AND INTERPRETATION.
