Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Summer Camp 
Date: July 20th - 24th, 2015
Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Age: Incoming 10th - 12th grade students
Location: College of the Canyons, Welding and Metal Fabrication Laboratories
Cost: $195 per Student, Includes T-shirt, lunch for all 5 days & two field trips
Let our expert instructors guide you through a journey into the world of working with metal.  Campers will work in a real live welding & metal fabrication laboratory using many of today's common welding processes in addition to taking part in interactive entrepreneurial building actives each day.  Students will cut, drill, and shape metal into various projects using equipment such as drill presses, metal lathes, horizontal mills, plasma cutters and more!  Assigned metal projects will be completed using acquired skills in conjunction with specified welding & cutting and fabrication equipment.  Safety training is included and all related personal equipment will be furnished.  A great track for someone who may be considering a career in Manufacturing.  Come makes some arc and sparks with us! NOTE: Students MUST wear work boots that do not have nylon material (nylon is flammable). Students MUST wear long pants for protection.
