Types of Programs

  • Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill (Active Retired)
    You may qualify for this program if you:
    First entered active duty after 7/1/1985
    Had $1200 deducted from your first 12 months of military pay
    Met your basic service requirement
    Obtained a high school diploma or GED prior to applying for benefits
    Have not reached your delimitation date of your benefits (within 10 years of discharge)
     

  • Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill (Active Retired)
    You may qualify for this benefit if you:
    Served at least 90 aggregate days on active duty after September 11, 2001
    Currently on active duty or were honorably discharged

  • Chapter 1606 Montgomery GI Bill (Reserve)
    You may qualify for this program if you:
    Have a six-year obligation to serve in the Selected Reserve
    Completed IADT (Initial Active Duty Training)
    Serve and remain in good standing in a drilling Selected Reserve unit
    Obtained a high school diploma or GED prior to applying for benefits
     

  • Chapter 1607 Reserve Education Assistance Program (R.E.A.P)
    You may be eligible for this program if you served 90 continuous days or more on active duty after September 11, 2001.
     

  • Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation

  • Chapter 35 Dependents Educational Assistance Program
    You may qualify for this benefit if you are a spouse, surviving spouse, or dependent child of a veteran who:
    Was rated with a 100% service-connected disability

    Was held as a POW or was MIA for 90 days or more
