South Region Playoff Bracket

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – College of the Canyons men's basketball team earned a No. 20 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to No. 13 L.A. Valley on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. for a first round game. The playoff bid marks the first time since 2007 that COC will be participating in the post season.

COC finished in a tie for third place in the Western State Conference, South Division, and boasted a 15-12 record and 6-6 record in conference.
 
No. 13 L.A. Valley, also from the Cougar's conference, turned in a 15-11 record and 7-5 Western State Conference, South Division, record. The Monarchs completed the season in second place.

COC and LAVC split two games this season, with each team winning their respective home game. In the last match up between the two ball clubs on Jan. 28, Valley defeated the Cougars 64-52 in Valley Glen.
 
The winner of the game will take on No. 4 San Bernardino on Saturday, Feb. 25 on the road.
