South Region Bracket

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. –The College of the Canyons women's basketball team has earned a No. 12 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association Women's Basketball Southern Regional Playoffs and will travel to No. 5 Cerritos College for a 7 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Gahr High School.

The Cougars (19-10, 9-3) finished in first place in the Western State Conference, South, after starting the conference season with a 1-3 record.
 
No. 5 Cerritos finished with a record of 22-7 and 12-4 in the South Coast Conference, good for second place.
 
This is the 19th consecutive time that the women's basketball program has made the post season since the program was taken over by head coach Greg Herrick in 1992.
 
The winner of Saturday's match up will take on the victor of the No. 4 East L.A./No. 13 Irvine Valley seed pairing and will play on Wednesday, Feb. 29.
