Violent or Criminal Behavior


Everyone on campus is encouraged to assist in making College of the Canyons a safe place by being alert to suspicious situations or persons and promptly reporting them.

If you are victim or a witness to any on-campus offense, avoid risks and confrontation with the perpetrators and seek assistance.

Campus Safety is available for assistance during all hours of operation at campus extension 3229.  Promptly notify Campus Safety to report the incident and include the following details in your report:

  • Nature of the incident

  • Location of the incident

  • Description of the person(s) involved

  • Description of the property involved

  • Unauthorized personnel

If you observe a criminal act or whenever you observe a person acting suspiciously—notify Campus Safety at campus extension 3229 immediately. 

Assist Campus Safety or civil authorities when they arrive by supplying them with additional information and ask others to cooperate with them also. 

Should gunfire or discharged explosives occur, you should take cover immediately.  Advise others to do so also.  After the disturbance, seek emergency first aid if necessary.
