Veterans Career Services


 
The Job and Career Center offers a number of workshops and services unique to Veterans.
How to Transition to the Workforce, Veterans Edition.  This workshop helps those who don’t know which career path to choose, and for those who want to find a civilian job similar to their MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) or AFSC (Air Force Specialty Codes). Missed this semester’s workshop? No worries, you can make an appointment with a Career Advisor.
Resume development. Through a one-on-one appointment, staff can assist veterans by translating their military experience to employable civilian terms.
MyJobs. The college’s job and internship portal not only hosts hundreds of jobs and internships, new in 2017 MyJobs provides a field for veterans to opt-in and select “Yes” I am a veteran. By selecting yes, employers can search and find veterans actively looking for employment.  
Job placement. With our affiliation with the America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) located on the Valencia campus, veterans can meet with the AJCC staff to establish eligibility and job placement.
 
Additional services provided beyond the Job and Career Center
The Veterans Resource Center (VRC)  guides veterans through the process to receive education benefits. Additional benefits facilitated through the VRC but not limited to;
