Registration Instructions
 
Registration is the process that is followed to enroll in classes for the upcoming semester.
Students register by returning the appropriate registration forms to the Continuing Education/Noncredit office before class meets.
 
New Students
You are a “New Student” if this is your first time attending College of the Canyons.
 
All new students must apply by submitting an application for admission.
 
New English as a Second Language Students (ESL) must complete an assessment test before registering for classes.
 
Choose the course or courses you would like to take and submit a registration form.
 
Return the registration form to the Continuing Education office on the Valencia campus, University Center, Room 316.
  You can also fax your completed form to 661-287-3425.
 
Once your application and registration forms are received, you will be registered into the open class listed on your registration form
  and you will be issued a student ID number.
 
Your student ID number is used for registering into all College of the Canyons classes.
  Your ID# remains with you as long as you attend classes at College of the Canyons even if you have a break in attendance.
 
Returning Students and Continuing Students
 
You are a “Returning Student” if you are returning to College of the Canyons after an absence (you have a student identification number).
You are a “Continuing Student” if you were enrolled in classes at College of the Canyons anytime during the past semester.
 
Returning and continuing students must complete an application for admission.
 
Returning and continuing students must fill out a noncredit registration form. Be prepared to provide the following information:
   • Your address, phone number and email address
   Include your student ID#
   Identify the class you want to attend
 
Return the registration form to the Continuing Education/Noncredit office on the Valencia campus, University Center, Room 316.
  You can also fax your completed form to 661-287-3425.
 
 
All Students
Registration confirmation notices will not be sent. Please attend the first class and the instructor will confirm that your name appears on the class roster. If a class is full or cancelled, you will be contacted by the Continuing Education/Noncredit Office.
