These
courses use a product by iCubed. You
need the CD-ROM called On Music
Appreciation, by Connect for Education,
for the on-line class. The ISBN Number
for the 2nd Edition is: 007 721271-1.
Make sure you buy the 2nd
Edition. The CD-ROM includes all the material you will need and it contains the equivalent of thirty CDs worth of music from the Naxos Catalogue, 188 graphics and 10 Quick time movies. Do not buy a second hand CD-ROM because each one gets assigned a unique number that links up with your grades. You can get this CD-ROM at the COC bookstore. Please try to buy it by the time your class begins. Inside the CD-ROM box that you buy there should be a printed page with detailed instructions on how to login and register your CD-ROM. Read the instructions and follow them carefully. Logging in and getting your computer to play the music extracts is frequently the biggest hurdle of the course. (Note: make sure you register for the correct course (OMA) and no other.
