Audience:
Candidates who seek supplemental welding lab hours to improve and/or
enhance their welding skills.
Description:
Supervised open lab for welding students who wish to increase their
skills in a specific welding process through the use of the welding
lab facility. Base metal, gases and use of consumables are included
in the class fee.
Class format:
Supervised open lab for welding students who wish to increase their

Requirements:
1.
Successful completion of at least one of the following course(s).

Weld 105
·
Weld 101C
·
Weld 124
·
Weld 165
2.
Current enrollment of one or more of the following course(s).
·
Weld 100
·
Weld 101A
·
Weld 101B
·
Weld 101C
·
Weld 120
·
Weld 122
·
Weld 124
·
Weld 104
·
Weld 165
3.
Successful completion of comparable coursework at another institution
(as listed above under item #1). Non COC students will be required to
complete a questionnaire which will be reviewed by the Welding
Technology department chair prior to official enrollment in the course.
4.
The open lab is not for the purposes of gaining skills towards a
new welding process.
5.
Fabricating, effecting, or repairing personal project is not allowed at
any time before, during, and after the open lab hours of operation
6. Use of
the Metal Fabrication lab (TWSH-126) is not allowed at any time before,
during, and after the open lab hours of operation
7.
Welding qualification/certification testing is not included in
the cost of the open lab course.
