2015 Proyecta 100,000 Program Information
What are the timelines?


April 15th 2015 – Deadline for submitting your application documents for a certificate of eligibility (also called I-20 form) for a student visa


Between April 16th and April 20th – the College of the Canyons will process your acceptance documents and will mail them by express courier service to your current University coordinators.


Note: The International Services and Programs is currently contacting your university to connect with your Proyecta coordinator. If you have that contact information, please share it with us.


Between April 30th and May 30th - after receiving the mailed original documents, apply for a student visa at your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate, receive the F1 visa stamp in your passport and then, email a copy of the F1 visa to


Between June 13th and July 12th - arrive in the U.S.


July 13th at 8:30 am - bring the documents listed below and check in at the ISP office:

  • Passport
  • I-20
  • Health Insurance document (if you buy it before arriving in the U.S.)
  • Form I-515A document (if you received it at the port of entry)


July 13th - Classes start


August 7th - the program ends


What are the application documents?

1)      A completed and signed Application form which you may find at this link:

2)      A doctor’s note verifying that you do not have Tuberculosis. The doctor may complete this form

3)      Official document confirming your Proyecta 100,000 scholarship

4)      Copy of your current, unexpired passport’s page with your picture and biographical information
