One of the nation's leading arts organizations dedicated to jazz, JazzReach proudly brings its live multi-media educational program to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center. “Big Drum/Small World” is an immersive and globally themed production featuring beautiful, brand-new performances by internationally recognized jazz composers hailing from around the globe, including from West Africa, Israel, Cuba, Puerto Rico, India and the United States. Each unique composition is inspired by elements of both the American jazz tradition and the indigenous music of each composer’s respective country of origin. As a special addition, the second set of this evening will be composed of a sampling of the classic jazz standards with some of the legends of the American art form.
