Country Superstar Willie Nelson to Perform April 5
Legendary country music singer-songwriter and seven-time Grammy Award-winning artist Willie Nelson will perform live at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC), Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Just added to the PAC’s 2013-14 season, the special event ‘Willie Nelson and Family: Live In Concert’ will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014.
The concert will help launch the PAC’s 10th anniversary season, which officially begins in September.
An icon of the genre, Willie Nelson is easily one of the most recognizable country artists of all time, having began his critically acclaimed career in the late 1950s and eventually reaching superstar status with the timeless popularity of songs including “To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before,” “On The Road Again,” “Always on My Mind” and “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.”
Despite a career that spans more than 50 years, Nelson continues to produce new music and perform for fans across the globe. In October 2013 Nelson released his latest studio album “To All the Girls…” featuring a series of duets with several renowned female country artists.
In addition, Wilson is scheduled to perform during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26.
“We are very excited to present an artist of Willie Nelson’s iconic status and immense talent at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center,” said Evy Warshawski, PAC Executive Director. “As one of the most celebrated country artists of all time, I know that audiences will be talking about this evening for years to come.”
