Welcome!!!
Let us help you start your Service-Learning project.

Here's an overview of the steps you need to get started...

  • Attend an Orientation - First time students must attend an orientation. Orientations are given the first three weeks of the semester. Students can see our schedule by clicking on the "Orientation" link under the SL INFO tab at the top of the page. Returning students do not need to attend an orientation, however, returning students must stop by the SL office to verify their status.
  • Complete the online registration - Each student must register by clicking on  the "Registration" link under the SL FORMS tab at the top of the page. Students who fail to register will not be given credit for their project.
  •  Find a Placement - Students can find a list of approved agencies by clicking on the "Faculty Pages" link under the SL INFO tab at the top of the page. Once you click on the link you will locate your instructor and click on the instructors name. If the instructor does not designate a list and all you see is "Agency Partners" you may then select any of the partners from our master list.

  • Turn in required Forms - All forms can be found by clicking on the SL FORMS tab at the top of the page.
    • Workers' Comp Form - Every student is required to fill out and turn in a workers' compensation form to the SL office before you start your service hours. The workers' comp form can be downloaded and printed from our website.
    • Placement Form - Each student is responsible for completing a placement form before any service hours are completed. The placement form can be downloaded and printed from our website.
    • Time-log - Each student is responsible for recording their hours of service. The time-log can be downloaded and printed from our website.
    • Reflection Essay - Every student is required to reflect on their project. The instructions for the assignment can be downloaded and printed from our website.
