Organization Description- The Los Angeles Residential Community Foundation helps develop mentally disabled adults thrive. To achieve this goal, they provide the following services:
•14 Residential Care Homes, including 3 homes for the elderly
•An Adult Developmental Center specializing in accommodating more challenged adults
•A day training activity center specializing in work related training and opportunities
Volunteer Opportunities

·          Students will work with the residents in the day programs: 
§  Daily living skills

Organization Description - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services.
Our mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, while improving the quality of life of patients and their families.

Additional Comments - Each volunteer must complete a background check before starting any volunteer work. There is no charge for this requirement.
A 15 minute orientation with site manager or deputy to explain what is needed and expected.  This is done any day prior to starting your volunteer hours.
Clothing must be appropriate for working with children.  No sexually suggestive clothing or sagging pants.
Volunteers should have an interest in working with youth.
