Organization Description- We ​provide support, programs, and leadership opportunities for the promotion and welfare of K-12 public school education in the Santa Clarita Valley. 
Volunteer Opportunities- Our biggest need is for volunteers in our Read With Me Program. we match volunteers with teachers who need someone to help in their classroom for approximately one hour a week to assist students struggling with reading.
Minimum Hours Required- No minimum hours, but at least one hour a week is preferred.

SCV Historical Society

SCV Senior Center, Committee on Aging

Organization Description-The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center is a multipurpose center dedicated to promoting quality of life for seniors.
Volunteer Opportunities- Pack lunches for homebound seniors (6:00AM - 10:30AM), Serve Lunches and clean the dining room and kitchen (11:00AM - 3:00PM) Students may choose any day of the week Monday - Friday.

Additional CommentsThis organization requires a minimum of two hours per shift. The SCV Senior Center is in most need of food-service volunteers, but students are welcome to work with the activity coordinator to devise or implement an event or activity, if more relevant to their curriculum. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Orientations are required and last about an hour Orientations are scheduled as follows:

Closet on main (an enterprise os SMO) is one of our biggest needs for volunteers. There, Volunteers would assist our store manager in everyday needs the store may have. We are always looking for fun, friendly volunteers who would like to volunteer as often as they can, but we appreciate any helping hands we can get.
