Organization Description-The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center is a multipurpose center dedicated to promoting quality of life for seniors.
Volunteer Opportunities- Pack lunches for homebound seniors (6:00AM - 10:30AM), Serve Lunches and clean the dining room and kitchen (11:00AM - 3:00PM) Students may choose any day of the week Monday - Friday.

Additional Comments –This organization requires a minimum of two hours per shift. The SCV Senior Center is in most need of food-service volunteers, but students are welcome to work with the activity coordinator to devise or implement an event or activity, if more relevant to their curriculum. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Orientations are required and last about an hour Orientations are scheduled as follows:

Organization Description- Single Mothers Outreach helps single parents become financially self-sufficient and able to cope with the responsibilities of raising a healthy family and contributing to the economic and cultural growth of the Santa Clarita Valley.

Closet on main (an enterprise os SMO) is one of our biggest needs for volunteers. There, Volunteers would assist our store manager in everyday needs the store may have. We are always looking for fun, friendly volunteers who would like to volunteer as often as they can, but we appreciate any helping hands we can get.

Organization Description- The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
