What is Supplemental Learning (SL)?

Supplemental Learning is a set of learning activities you can participate in on  your own to improve your learning. Supplemental Learning activities have a variety of formats to meet your needs:
  • Workshops -- Presentations and activities led by faculty
  • Study/Practice Jams -- Additional practice activities led by tutors
  • Guided Learning Activities (GLAs) -- Computer tutorials completed independently by the student and reviewed with a tutor

Students completing Supplemental Learning Activities had a 10% higher success rate across the disciplines, a 21% higher success rate in Math, and a 49% higher success rate in English courses.

Instructor notification of attendance:  Reports are sent to instructors each Monday for activities completed the prior week.  Please check with your instructor for verification of attendance; also, retain your stamped handout materials, and don't forget to bring your instructor's checklist that provides space for stamping and verification.
