Distance Education Exams at an Alternate Location

Students enrolled in a COC class who wish to take an exam at a location other than COC, prior arrangements must be made with their instructor and the TLC Testing Center.

Student Responsibilities:

  • Receive instructor approval to take exam at an alternate location
  • Locate an appropriate proctor or test center (i.e. institute of higher learning, public library, supervising military officer, or other acceptable location)
  • Provide TLC testing staff with proctor contact information including name, organization, title, phone number, email and/or fax
  • Allow 7-10 business days to complete proctor approval for an alternate location (international arrangements may take longer)

TLC testing staff must receive written instructor permission and all proctor information in order to approve an alternate testing location.  Due to the amount of time required to make arrangements to test at an alternate location it is strongly recommended that students plan to take their exams at the Valencia campus during the shortened winter and summer terms.
