Upward Bound Students


  • Student must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

  • Student must be enrolled Golden Valley High School

  • Student must be in grades 9 - 12

  • Student must meet current US Department of Education Family Low Income Guidelines 
    Example:  Family Income for a family of 5 must be $40,515 or less a year.

  • Neither parent has a four year College Degree

  • Students must have a sincere desire to improve their grades and be willing to work hard

  • Students must be willing to stay in Upward Bound through high school graduation

The College of the Canyons Upward Bound Program is funded from 2012-2017 entirely from the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $250,000 annually.
