Robert Glenn Ketchum

An Evolving Perspective of Nature
August 24 - September 19, 2009

Often compared to Ansel Adams and Elliott Porter, Ketchum is known for his large, meticulous photographs that often stand as testament to our endangered environment.
After graduating from UCLA, and experiencing an epiphany in the California Redwoods, Mr. Ketchum began focusing exclusively on landscape photography. Soon he was doing work for the Sierra Club and eventually became the Curator of Photography at the National Park Foundation. It was during this time that he realized a bond was developing between him and the environment. "I decided that maybe there was some way, within the work, to speak out on behalf of the land or to make the work serve it," said Ketchum.
