Francine Matarazzo
Garden of the Poet; Iran and Beyond

March 29 - May 1, 2014

A series of works presented Ms. Matarazzo's own unique visual poetry. She works abstractly using highly charged, lyrical
compositions imbued with saturated color, collage and mark intensity to convey a complex emotional content. Touching
upon the artist's
extensive travels through India, Tunisia and Morocco, and three-year residency in Iran, the works
include interpretations of desert skies, sun-scorched sands, gardens, courtyards, alleys, villages and scenes of day-to-day life.
