Site Overview

This site has been designed as a resource for the entry-level web page designer.  The analysis of the Section 508 Guidelines on this site are not to be considered exhaustive but to serve as a general overview of the necessary steps to make a page compliant.

The general idea of Section 508 is to educate web authors in creating highly accessible websites with as little structural and stylistic changes as possible.  With that in mind, you will find that most of the guidelines can be interpreted and complied with in several ways.  This site will only focus on the simplest form of compliance which means that some of these methods will require structure or style changes to your site(s).  If you want to explore other options of compliance that do not affect the appearance of your site, you will need to contact Scott McAfee to discuss your options.
