Print Resources

Accessible through the College of the Canyons Web site, the online catalog will indicate what the Library owns and where the items are located in the collection. To find resources on Nursing you may want to start by opening the online catalog and selecting the subject search option.


Electronic Resources

ProQuest Direct is a database consisting of citations, abstracts and in many cases full-text articles from over ten thousand publications, including magazines, journals and newspapers. From the home page you can select from a number of subject areas that will lead you to the more specific results:


For articles pertaining to nursing you may want to select the Health & Medicine subject area:

Note that although an number of results have been retrieved, there are too many to manage. At this point we may want to select the Advanced  search option:




Nursing Resource Center: This database is an excellent resource for nursing students. A user of this database has the ability to search for information that can be integrated in care plans for patients Users can serch for information on a medical condition and retreive information that will be relevant to their specific project.
