Thesis: Blue light stimulation of light saturated photosynthesis in the giant kelp Macrocystis pyrifera.
Jim recently left the Biotechnology program to help develop Biology curriculum for the new "GET" Technician Training Program. Jim also directs the Biology Outreach programs which accommodate all six local high schools with a range of Biotech, labs, supplies, curricula, etc. He is also a MESA Faculty Sponsor in Biology.
Jim enjoys gardening, backpacking and the Simpsons.
Jim encourages students to volunteer to help with outreach efforts and ongoing research opportunities! Give back to Science and Biology, boost your resume and get skills simply not taught in class. Become a volunteer.
