Susan has been teaching at College of the Canyons
since 1988 as a professor in the departments of Biology, Chemistry
and Education. She is currently the director of the Mathematics,
Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) program at the college.
As an educator her focus is on making science accessible and
relevant to every learner. Her professional interests include
faculty development, communication in the college classroom and
faculty inquiry as part of a reflective teaching practice.
