Biology Computer Lab
Boykin 211

Come visit us!  Biology students have access to their own computer lab. There are 25 PC computers with Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003, Internet access and a link to the Biology Server that stores a multitude of study aids.  In addition to the links on the Biology Server the Computer Lab has CD's , VHS Tapes and DVD's you can use that relate directly to subject matter covered in your classes.  If you are looking for additional help with class work, need to do research or just need a quite place to study, we have what you are looking for. Enroll in BIOSCI050L and receive priority use of the computer lab plus earn credit!

Hours subject to change.  This is a tentative schedule and depends on the availability of lab staff.  Use is subject to the College of the Canyons Student Computer Lab Acceptable Use Policy.  Periodically, additional biology classes may be held in the computer lab. Those times are reserved and posted on a calendar in BYKH-211.  See Amy if you need more information.

Why should you enroll in BIOSCI 050L?

Students enrolled in BIOSCI 050L have free use of the dedicated Biology Computer Laboratory.  The lab has Internet access, Microsoft Office, ProQuest, printers and a lot of study aids, multimedia and tutorials.  Students enrolled in BIOSCI 050L have priority over students not enrolled in the course, including priority seating and use of equipment and media.

BIOSCI 050L BIOLOGY COMPUTER LABORATORY
Units: 0.50, May Be Taken 4 Times

Open to students enrolled in a biology course, this computer laboratory supports biological concepts, processes, and laboratory exercise through interactive programs. Units do not apply to the associate degree and offered credit/no-credit only. (Formerly BIOSCI-050)
Note: Open lab is scheduled 'to be announced,' so it is the students' responsibility to sign-in and out when completing lab hours. The student must complete a minimum of 25.5 hours per semester to earn 1/2 unit of credit. Open lab is not a required course for any certificate or degree in biology. Open lab hours must be accrued at a time separate from any other class in which the student is also registered.
