Chemistry Lab Safety

Goggles
Safety Goggles (not glasses) should be worn at all times when working in
the lab. They should not be removed to write lab notes.
- Lab Attire
Dress for lab and not the weather:
1. Wear long pants that cover the entire leg (shorts & capris not
acceptable). Note: skirts can be worn, but must be ankle length.)
2. Wear shoes that cover your feet - closed toed and closed heeled.
3. Tank tops are not appropriate.
4. Avoid loose fitting clothing and jewerly.
5. Long hair should be tied back.

Rooms
The Chemistry Department is located on the 3rd floor of the James D. Boykin Laboratory Building and 3rd floor of Aliso Laboratory Building.
