Chemistry Lab Safety

• Goggles
  Safety Goggles (not glasses) should be worn at all times when working in the lab. They should not be removed to write lab notes.

• Lab Attire
  Dress for lab and not the weather:
  1. Wear long pants that cover the entire leg (shorts & capris not acceptable). Note: skirts can be worn, but must be ankle length.)
  2. Wear shoes that cover your feet - closed toed and closed heeled.
  3. Tank tops are not appropriate. 
  4. Avoid loose fitting clothing and jewerly.
  5. Long hair should be tied back.

• No Eating or Drinking

 

 

Rooms
The Chemistry Department is located on the 3rd floor of the James D. Boykin Laboratory Building and 3rd floor of Aliso Laboratory Building.
