The Chemistry Department is pleased to participate in this year's National Chemistry Week: October 21-27. The focus is on Nanotechnology: The smallest BIG idea in science (More Info). Students interested in pursuing careers in nanotechnology should contact Dr. Kathy Flynn (kathy.flynn@canyons.edu).
The Chemistry Department has a student Chemistry Club! Meetings resuming Fall 2012 - starting Sept 7 (11 am in Boykin 304). Become a member of this cool club by emailing Dr. Flynn (kathy.flynn@canyons.edu). Activities will include Field Trips and Outreach. See Chemistry Club link to left for more details.
UCLA NanoSystems Institute Field Trip - Chemistry
students, co-sponsored with MESA, went to UCLA with Prof McMahon (Bednar) in Spring 2012. The group learned about nanotechnology through workshops and demonstrations. The group also saw the instruments used in this area.
