We will  offer a  Health Science 153 Refresher class during for Summer 2013. The class will be held June 11, 13, 18 &20th. Student must attend all four days. Includes the Transition Materials. New this summer, to successfully complete the course and receive a certificate, the student must provide proof of successful completion of the following  FEMA courses. Health Science 153 - (EMT Refresher) includes California Skills verification testing and the revised LA County Scope of Practice 2011.

• Must apply and register through College of the Canyons. Check with admissions and records regarding registration.

• Who should enroll:

•  Students must be a current or lapsed EMT.

• Student may have successfully completed an EMT course, but has not passed the NREMT exam and is required to take a refresher course to retake the NREMT exam.

• Additional approved Refresher Courses may be found on the Los Angeles County EMS Agency website.  http://ems.dhs. lacounty.gov

• NREMT recertification requires additional continuing education. Please check NREMT website for recertification forms and information. www.nremt.org
