Faculty Resources
English Department Blackboard website
The English Department has a username/password protected Blackboard course “shell” where faculty members share various materials related to teaching.
The resources provided there by the Coordinators of the departmentally taught courses are of particular value. In order to receive access to this website, you must have a COC email address. Contact the English Department Chair to have your username and password created.
Web CMS
WebCMS is an online resource that helps colleges automate their curriculum proposal/approval process and also contains the course outlines for approved courses.
The course outline is the document that explains the required student learning outcomes and other important information about the course. Each instructor is responsible for covering the material in the course outline as part of each course that he or she is assigned to teach.
First, click on “Public Access” (no password is required). From there, select ENGL as the subject and enter the number of the course you are teaching to view the course outline.
