GEOG 101 PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY
Units: 3.00 - UC and CSU Transferable
Basic physical elements of the natural environment which include energy systems, atmosphere, weather, hydrology, natural vegetation, the sun, earth and moon system, the study of the fundamentals of the form and dimensions of the earth, maps, ecology, soils, physical oceanography, mineral resources, and landforms.
        

GEOG 101L PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY LAB
Units: 1.00 - UC and CSU Transferable
Co-Requisite: GEOG-101
Provides activities that complement topics presented in GEOG-101. Activities include practical exercises, experiments, observations, and data analyses designed to teach the scientific method. Field trips are required.

GEOG 102 CULTURAL GEOGRAPHY
Units: 3.00 - UC and CSU Transferable
Studies the common denominators found in human populations that allow cultures to exist including patterns of natural resources, languages, economics, politics, and religions, and succinctly analyzes these patterns as expressed within selected regions and countries which are prominent or pivotal in world affairs.

GEOG 151 INTRO TO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Units: 4.00 - UC and CSU Transferable
Recommended Preparation: Basic knowledge of Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP.
Provides a hands on experience in fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and its uses in the natural and social sciences, business and government
