Course Description: Provides an overview of fluorescent and incandescent lighting; general,
task, accent, and ambient lighting. Title 24 energy code changes, selection of architectural and decorative lighting fixtures, and reflected ceiling plans for commercial and residential design. A field trip to a lighting store may be included. Units do not apply to the associate degree and offered credit/no-credit only.

Attendance and Class Participation: Your grade can be positively affected by attendance, discussions, and contributions in class. This is essential for you to gain maximum benefit from class. (Regular attendance is defined as attending the full class periods.)
A student wishing to drop the class must initiate the
proper procedures themselves. The instructor will not be responsible for
dropping students beyond the first class periods.
Handouts, Notes and Assignments: It is your responsibility to obtain lecture notes, copies of handouts, information about class sessions and assignments from your classmates if you should miss all or part of the class.
There will be no make-up for missed quizzes, exams or assignments. No extra credit will be accepted.
