Library Technician

Compensation:    $3,083 monthly (Level 12 of Classified Salary Schedule).  In addition, a fringe benefit allowance of $8,100 for the selection of cafeteria-style plans is provided.

Primary Responsibilities:  Under the direction of the Dean of Instruction, provide a variety of technical library assistance and information to students and staff with responsibility for an assigned area regarded as a library department such as circulation, technical processing and periodicals.

Minimum Qualifications:  Any combination equivalent to:

• Two years college-level course work in library science or possession of a Library Technical Certificate (copies of transcripts and/or certificate must accompany application): AND

• Two years increasingly responsible library experience in an automated library environment
