Julissa Bozman
Prelude Strings
Violinist and violist Julissa Bozman started her musical
training in her country of origin,
El Salvador. She holds a BFA in music from the California Institute of
the Arts, and a master's degree in music from the University of California
at Irvine. She was a recipient
of a Fulbright grant and an ArtsBridge scholarship.
Julissa has played with ensembles such as the "Orquesta
Sinfonica de El Salvador", the "Debut Orchestra" in Los
Angels, the "UC Berkeley Orchestra", the "20th Century
Players", "Trio Arcangelo" and the "UCI String Quartet".
She has toured with popular pianist John Tesh and attended the Eastern
Music Festival in North Carolina.
Mrs. Bozman is the strings coach of the Santa Clarita
Valley Youth Orchestra where she also holds a position as the instructor
of the Prelude Strings. She belongs to the Music Teacher's Association
of California.
