As composer, Mr. Lawson's music has been performed throughout the United States, Europe and South America, at events such as the International Harp Festival in Paris and the Foro Internacional de Música Nueva, in Mexico City. He has served as music director of the Ventura City Hall Concert Series, and has lead the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra. From 1981 -1988 he served as associate conductor of the Ventura County Symphony and the Ventura Civic Youth Orchestra. Mr. Lawson has been guest conductor of numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the New Twentieth Century Players, the Antelope Valley Symphony and the South Coast Chamber Orchestra.
