Registered Nursing Program

College of the Canyons is a well-respected two-year registered nursing program that is approved by the State Board of Registered Nurses and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. It is designed to prepare the student for the responsibilities and knowledge required for the entry-level registered nurse. The successful nursing program graduate will qualify to receive a certificate of completion, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and take the national licensure examination to become a registered nurse.

If you have finished all nursing prerequisites with available transcripts by the deadline, click here to start the application process.

 

Important Dates/Deadlines:

We are currently in the Winter/Spring Timeline for fall 2013 applications

On or before January 31, 2013: 

• All required documents, including official transcripts due in Admission & Records (NOTE:  If possible, hand delivery will ensure timely receipt of your documents - see Application Checklist

December 1, 2012 - January 31, 2013: 

• Online Request for Nursing Prerequisite Evaluation (NOTE: This online form is the only mechanism to submit a Request for Nursing Prerequisite Evaluation; can be submitted once all documents are received by A & R).

February 1, 2013 - February 28, 2013:

• Application Submission Window

• Nursing Program Application can be dropped off at the Division Office (ALLB-307) during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.  After normal business hours, you may drop your application off at the switchboard in the Administration Building.

PLEASE NOTE:  All applicants can expect to receive the first email notification of application status by mid-March.

March 2013:  Date TBD

• TEAS V - Only eligible applicants will be invited to take the TEAS V
