College of the Canyons offers distance learning, college-by-television, and computer-enhanced courses. Many students will find these classes attractive because of their flexible schedules Some or most of the classes of our distance learning classes will be held over the World Wide Web or make use of class sessions on the computer.     Linking Classes Project Entrance

    The Linking Classes Project is a set of COC class sections that have been linked together for interdisciplinary learning. These courses will share online resources , sessions, and group discussions. Participating courses and faculty are- Claudia Acosta- Latin American Literature; Donna Davidson, Intro.to Cinema ; Michael McMahan, Project Director, Ethics and Intro to Philosophy; Elizabeth Russo, Environmental Biology. Students in these courses can link to class material from this site. Faculty and others are welcome to browse the site.

    Faculty Resource Guide

    The Faculty Resource Guide is a website for faculty with reference and resource material for online teaching and computer-enhanced instruction. It links resources on all aspects of creating online classes including making class webpages and issues in online curriculum. (This guide was created by Michael McMahan, Philosophy, as a Partnership for Excellence Grant.)

    Summer Technology Institute Gallery

    The Summer Institute for Technological Enhancement took place at College of the Canyons from July 5 to July 22. Faculty participants attended a variety of workshops and worked on projects using technology and tools for computer-enhancement. This website presents a small sampling of some of the projects developed during the Instititute.

    Linking Classes Project Faculty Resources
