 Course Information

Welcome !! I am Dr. Michael McMahan, the instructor for this course. Philosophy 101, section #  50370  is a 100% online course . The online class  will include group discussion, mini lectures, quizzes, and a final exam. The Final Exam can be taken either at COC or with an approved proctor. More information on  scheduling the Final Exam will be provided in the Online Classroom . It is highly recommended that you review your readiness for an online class by taking a student readiness quiz. The calendar for this class gives you a schedule of our assignments and readings. The Student Guide(SEE LINK ABOVE)  will give you more information about the hardware and software you'll need for this class. Read this very carefully. The Guide will answer your questions about the class.  You are required to log onto the class website within 3 days of the official start date for the class. Failure to do so will result in your being dropped from the class . In order to begin working in the classroom, you will need a user Id and a password. You (Regular Students on the class roster ) will be able to obtain their User ID  by using the link above. User IDs will not be available until . You will be able to establish your own password after you've logged on with your User ID. Students on the add list must first request an add and add code if space is available by sending me an e-mail and will then be given a user ID.
