SUMMER 2007 (20 DAYS)

Academic Program: Study Spanish language and
culture in beautiful Spain.
Students will gain an understanding of the life and cultures of Spain with focus on the region of Castilla-Leon, the largest region of Spain and of all the European
Union. Salamanca
is known for having the oldest university in Spain
(one of the oldest in Europe) additionally the city has been named “World Heritage City”
by UNESCO. Lecture visits include Segovia, Leon and Avila. Students will stay four days in Madrid before they start their immersion program in Salamanca. In Spain,
visits include the Royal
Palace, the Prado museum, The Escorial
and other nearby sites.
Program Cost: $3195.00 inclusive of air, lodging, many meals while in Madrid,
two-week language and culture program at our partner school in Salamanca. It includes
Flamenco lessons, and weekly lectures on the life and culture of Spain. Excursions to Avila,
Segovia, Toledo
and more, welcome dinners in Madrid and Salamanca and farewell
dinner. The price does not include taxes, or college tuition ($20.00 per
unit).
Deadline: Space is limited to 25 students. To guarantee a space
you must sign up soon and send a deposit in the amount of $300.00. A
second payment of $ 1000.00 is due on January 15, and the final payment is
due on April 30

biology and Spanish language and Culture. The program includes excursions
to places of remarkable natural beauty and historical significance. Cities include the colonial capital of Quito (declared World
