Biography
Born in Cuba. Professor Somoza
moved to the United States in 1962. He briefly lived
on the East Coast and eventually settled in Las Vegas
where he graduated from the University of Nevada
with a Master degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics.
Born into a family of soccer players on Cuba’s national
team, Prof. Somoza became a competitive figure skater.
Aside from teaching, he has a professional translation
and interpreting company, and enjoys skating, watching
foreign films and jaunts to the beach.
