Water Systems Technology |

Water Systems Technology is the
study of wastewater treatment and water distribution
processes. The program is designed to prepare students
seeking a career in the water treatment, disposal, and
distribution fields. The Water Systems Technology program
also provides instruction for water personnel interested in
career advancement. Coursework will help prepare students
for various certification examinations given by the State of
California-Department of Health Services. Upon completion of
the program, students will acquire skills and knowledge in
water treatment concepts, chemical dosage techniques, water
distribution, and water mathematical calculations to name a
few. The students completing the program can become employed
as a distribution operator, water treatment plant operator,
water service representative, wastewater collection worker,
and/or a wastewater treatment operator. |
