NEWS FLASH: College of the Canyons has just received approval of  $300,000 in funding as part of a California Economic Workforce Improvement Grant to begin a Metal Fabrication component to its existing Welding Technology program. The bulk of the funding will provide for the purchase of additional equipment, supplies, and further curriculum development. Metal Fabrication course offerings will start this fall with Weld 092 - Intro to Metal Fabrication and following in the spring with weld 093 - Intermediate Metal Fabrication. We anticipate these sections to fill rather quickly, so please make your plans accordingly and register early.

For those individuals seeking to take the American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) exam, College of the Canyons will have a new online course to help prepare you. This online training course will cover areas of the exam -- part A, part B, and part C, respectively. We anticipate completion of the course in time for this fall.
