BIOSCI 100 GENERAL BIOLOGY
Units: 4.00 - UC:CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit CAN BIOL 2

Explores the structure, function, and development of living systems from cells to ecosystems. UC credit limitation: No credit for BIOSCI-100 if taken after BIOSCI-106, 107, 201, 202, 204, 205, 215, 216, 221, or 250.

BIOSCI 107 MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR BIOLOGY
Units: 4.00 - UC:CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit
Prerequisite: MATH-070

Introduces the principles of bioenergetics, molecular structure, function, and evolution; and
cell morphology, anatomy, and physiology.

 

MS Environmental Biology
California State University, Northridge w/ emphasis on Marine Biology
Thesis:  Blue light stimulation of light saturated photosynthesis in the giant kelp Macrocystis pyrifera
.

Jim is currently helping to develop College of the Canyon's biotechnology program including new curricula, certificate programs, internships and outreach. He is also a MESA Faculty Sponsor - Biology.
 
Jim enjoys gardening, backpacking and the Simpsons.
