The Graphic and Multimedia Design program at College of the Canyons provides an encouraging but challenging comprehensive learning environment‚ which contributes technically and conceptually to the development of the artist. Professor Kevin Jenkins earned his MFA from the University of California‚ Irvine and his BFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. He has worked as a graphic designer and artist in the Los Angeles area for the past 14 years and brings a hands–on knowledge to the graphic and multimedia design programs that’s hard to beat.
Professor Mark Daybell earned a MFA from CSU Fullerton and BS from California Polytechnic State University‚ San Luis Obispo. Over his 20–year career in the arts‚ he has exhibited his videos‚ photography‚ installations and films at museums‚ galleries‚ film festivals and alternative art venues. As a professor‚ Mark guides students in the processes of finding an artistic voice and instructs them on creating a portfolio to reflect that vision.
Lin Wilde earned his BFA in Digital Media from Otis College of Art & Design. He has been a staff artist and postproduction expert at Blind since 2003. Lin has worked on hundreds of commercials for major companies‚ including Google‚ Microsoft‚ Audi and Nike. He has worked on promos for Showtime‚ Discovery‚ ABC‚ Spike and Fox Sports. Lin is also an active member of The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (The Emmys).
Michael Stinson is a founding partner and creative director of Ramp Creative. Over the course of 17 years in the field of design‚ Mike’s work has been recognized by numerous publications and industry organizations‚ including Communication Arts‚ Mead Annual Report Show‚ Potlatch Annual Report Show‚ Stora Enso Paper Awards‚ The AR100 and The One Show.
Nick Pavik earned a BFA from Art Center College of Design‚ Pasadena and has been an art director for the Santa Clarita Community College District for the past 14 years. Nick is an avid supporter of community colleges and the important role they play in artistic self–discovery.
Candice Lin is a multimedia artist whose work has been exhibited widely‚ including: Quadrado Azul (Porto)‚ Francois Ghebaly Gallery (Los Angeles)‚ the San Jose Museum of Art‚ La Maison Populaire (Paris)‚ and the MexiCali Biennial. She is the recipient of numerous awards and residencies. Lin earned her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and her BA from Brown University.
Mark Flanders received his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin–Stout before going on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a MFA from California State University‚ Long Beach. Additionally‚ he studied both art and art history at Ealing College in England. Mark specializes in multimedia‚ traditional and non–traditional photography and bricolage. He has been a creative consultant and enjoys a rich and varied career as artist and instructor.
