Architectural Drafting
Certificate of Achievement:
The architectural drafting program is designed to prepare students for
careers in industry as drafters or related occupations, and/or transfer to a
4 or 5-year architectural program. Drafting technicians are in short supply,
affording many employment opportunities for qualified individuals. The
program provides students with entry-level skills and knowledge in the
fields of computer and architectural drafting. Competencies include
knowledge in AutoCAD generated drawings, current practices in architectural
drafting and construction technology, 2-D and 3-D drawings, drafting
techniques such a clarity, line weight expression and accuracy to name a
few.
Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for entry level
drafting positions. An associate degree and certificate can be earned in
architectural drafting.
